Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sonia, who is originally from Germany and currently living in Finland, for a Miko(shrine maiden) experience.

She has a deep interest in Shinto and Japanese culture, and listened very attentively to our explanations about the torii gate, purification at the temizuya, and the main shrine buildings. It was wonderful to see her genuine curiosity and respect for each aspect of the tradition. She also gratly enjoyed the Miko attire experience, which made the time even more special.

Sonia asked throughtful questions about custome such as how to the omikuji fortunes, showing her strong interest in Japanese traditions and practices.

During the norito (Shrine prayer) copying experience, she was expecially engaged, asking about the meanings behind the words, which made the experience even more meaningful for both of us.

It was truly a pleasure guiding her, and we had a very enjoyable and memorable time together. Thank you very much for visiting us.
