Memories in the United States vol.1 by Rie Asai
Through my life, I think I often had an opportunity to stay in the United States.
FIrst experience to stay in Amarica was when I was 16 years old. At that time, it was hard for me to catch English and communicate in English. Second chance to be there was when I was a university student and third one was when I graduated from the university. Actually after my graduation of the university, I stayed in Seattle for one year and had a great time studying and making friends and getting know America.
Most memorable stay for me in America was research activiaties as a fellow in Boston. Through these activities, I strongly felt the power of democracy, civic participation, building the civil society in the U.S.
