Koto Chikage is a koto music association with a 65-year history. Its head, Tamiko Asai is 88 years old and is celebrating her beiju, the traditional celebration of reaching the age of 88.
This year, in addition to our continued efforts to carry on Japan's traditional cultural heritage, we also began new initiatives aimed at inbound visitors.
Tamiko Asai has performed in over 30 countries, and Rie Asai has veisited 16 countries through her performances. In each place, they have been met with heartfelt and enthusiastic welcomes.
In light of these experiences, Tamiko Asai and Rie Asai came to feel that it is now their turn to give somethng back to the many people around the world who have warmly received them. 
And 2025 was the year for us to take that step. 
This year we were honored to welcome more thatn 300 visitors from overseas. We are deeply greatful.
In 2026, we aimd to reach even greater heights, dedicating ourselves to delivering more exceptional performances and workshops to people around the world. Thank you very much.
